No one could ever have guessed that Nigel would one day end up being the Labour MP for Bethnal Green.
A few come to mind: Even as late as the 1940’s neighborhood drunkards took enough pride in themselves to dress well. I’ve fallen and I’ll see about getting up as soon as I’ve finished my beer. Honestly, this bloke come outta th’ pub, says “‘Ere, ‘old my beer.” and then he buggers off. No. Really.
