Not much I can add to that, other than to note that (under his wishful scenario) a goodly number of our current Democrat politicians might likewise not have been.
Time to put my nitpicky historical hat on here and mention that it was Tricky Dick in the White House during the Three Days of Mud, Bad Acid, and Scattered Trash.
I also suspect that a lot of the people there went on to get haircuts, jobs, and vote for Regan.
