Thanks for posting this. I saw the news yesterday. Around the time Captain Sir Tom started his walk to raise funds for the NHS to fight Covid-19, he was given a Spitfire Honour Flight to mark his 100th birthday. During an interview, Tom commented it was good to hear the Spit flown in peace – he’d heard enough of them flown in anger. Seems he was a Class Act right until the moment he drew his final breath.

A good man in a world of weasels. Such a shame that the 32 million quid he raised will be pissed away by the NHS.
