Sent to me by Reader Gerald F., here’s Diana Rigg doing her Mrs. Peel thing.
All I have to say that Mr. Peel was a total idiot, letting her leave the house dressed like that — or letting her out of the house at all, come to think of it.
Best legs, ever.
As I recall, Mr Peel was a Pilot lost over the amazon and presumed dead, so he wasn’t around to attempt to dissuade Emma from wearing what she did, not that her character would have put up with it ….. and no photos of her in the tight leather jump suit?? That and the Elan always driven flat out on some narrow road between two hedge rows is why i started watching that show.
OK I cheated ..,. and checked the backstory on wiki

Thanks for all the reminders of why I thought I had the hots for Diana Rigg but could only seem to recall her much older images (Game of bonking).
I’ve always disliked the tune they used for the tribute, but I realize it could have been written specifically for her as Emma Peel. I’ve officially changed my mind about it.
But I wasn’t wrong about her being hot.

I recall writing an essay on Mrs. Peel for 9th grade English in, it must have been, 1968. Even my somewhat gay English teacher appreciated the appeal. She was an early and a lifetime crush.
To paraphrase from another movie:
Mrs Peel is more of a man than you will ever be, more of a woman than you will ever have.
Pretty close to perfect.
great line
are the Avengers available on DVD or streaming?
JQ
Both. DVD set has been a little pricy in the past, but I got it anyway. Streaming from Amazon Prime for purchase.
One of the prettiest GoGo dolly birds England ever produced in the 60’s, with brains and talent on top. Never missed an episode and we all had B&W TV back then.
Diana Rigg and Yvonne Craig (‘Batgirl’) got my hormones started.
