yep, just another rubbish holiday. Do something unexpected and sweet for your honey everyday or every week. Put a note in their lunch, buy them their favorite candy or snack, do a chore that they detest so they don’t have to do it. Every so often write a real love letter and put in the mail. Most mail today is rubbish or bills (but I repeat myself). A handwritten letter is a rare bird these days so that alone will make a wonderful surprise. Then when she reads it, she’ll be blown away. Maybe you’ll be blown later.
Sometimes my Father in law would pick wildflowers for my Mother in Law after he was done with yardwork and such. they always made her smile.

In my life I am blessed to know an elderly couple (oh, hell, they’re old, like me,) married since before time began. For as long as I have known them, he does whatever he can to let her know what a special part of his life she is. He recently came across a subscription service that will deliver her favorite quality chocolate every month and signed her up for five years as long as he could afford on his pension.) While she can’t see them very well anymore, there is no mistaking the joy she gets in tasting them.
