  1. I hate Black History Month

It always makes February such a challenging month for me

Black history is a much more attractive to dwell upon than black present behavior

    I live in 2 places

One is 90% white and one is close to Memphis, which is 70% black, highly ganged up, and extremely violent

We seldom even go into Memphis

And, when I do I’m armed (very nicely, of course), but I still feel like a 10 point buck in the rut

It’s like living in 2 different worlds

  2. I live near Memphis, “out in the county”.

I had my liberal West Coast daughter-in-lawyer ask me if I “carried a GUH-UN” when I went to Memphis.

I told her “No, when I go to Memphis, I carry TWO.”

  3. Let’s be honest. If it were for all the meaningful, positive contributions that blacks have made to the USA, it would be the “Black History 2 hours.” Does it take 2 hours to talk about George Washington Carver inventing peanut butter, or am I being generous?

    1. Don’t forget about Thomas Sowell, the 54th Massachusetts, Frederick Douglas, Harriet Tubman and a few others. You could even include the highlights from MLK and include Malcom X’s quote about white liberals are more damaging to blacks than the klan. Then of course there are countless jazz musicians who can be included.

  4. Negro’s everywhere around the world have always been far more costly than beneficial. They, like politicians, could disappear today and I would not notice.
