My old friend bronchitis has come to visit me again, courtesy of Beloved Granddaughter, who has managed to infect both her father and mother as well — so la famille du Toit is not a Happy Place at the moment, with barking-dog coughs and such all over the place.
New Wife, who works at a preschool, has an immunity system like tempered steel, so she has to do the Florence Nighringale thing for everybody.
Once again, light posting for a day or so… sorry.
Just a reminder: alcohol kills germs. ‘Nuff said.
Have your visitors been able to enjoy a bit of Texas where, to them, we talk funny and we eat funny food? Get well soon and all that sort of stuff.
Our 20 month old granddaughter too is a petri dish of vile diseases which she catches 3 times a week at her play school. It’s probably good for her immune system, mine not so much.
You’ve lived in a cold climate, can you say whether colds, flus and coughs are better or worse in in cold or hot climates?
Only one of our sons has produced a grand child and we have gotten the other one more interested in doing his duty by dire warnings about his share of our estate, if any remains after we blow it all on fun. Yes, it is bribery, open and corrupt.
In about a decade I will be delivering a similar message to my current heirs. Inheritance tax is swingeing here so it makes sense for funds to skip a generation.
Get well soon.
I hope you all feel better soon. Lots of chicken soup and rest. I hope your guests have been able to see and enjoy their trip beyond illness
