Executive summary: Company comes up with cheeky ad which is generally loved, but which (of course) offends a few (literally) people, so they have to take it down.

Perfect, as advertised. If I were in the market for some backyard fake grass, I wouldn’t consider anyone other than Great Grass.
The sad thing is that the Offended Four are not shamed, in fact are incapable of feeling shame, over being called out and mocked. Rather, they’re congratulating themselves for having triumphed.
why do we placate to the negative nancys and perpetually outraged? Growing up we ignored these kill joys.

Ah, that reminds me of the great series of ads for Bundaberg Rum, down in Australia. This video has all three – the original ad, the response ad to the outraged ninnies, and the response to the further outrage. It’s a classic.
