Here’s the story of the Lancia company — and the title says it best: The Power Of Fun.
My favorite Lancia models (in order):
Fulvia HF
D50 F1 (as driven by Fangio)
Stratos
Aurelia B24
Stradale
Every time Lancia decided to enter some form of racing, they’d win, win big and win with some groundbreaking new technology. Very few (if any) auto companies can make the same claim.
I just wish they hadn’t been so horribly shafted by parent company Fiat… but that’s the corporate world for you.
Fulvia HF. Always loved that body style, including the BMW CSL series. Would love to have driven one with a six-banger under the hood, preferably the 3400cc.
Not for me. They all look like they were designed by a committee, then the sections bolted together.
Except the one with Fangio in it — I’d take that one.
The Lancia Fulvia Sport Zagato was pretty and sexy, you must admit, but it was still Italian auto tech.
Fix it again, Tony, Feeble Italian Attempt at Technology, Fehler in Aller Teile ( German for Fault in Every Part).
Not to be naive, but what part of the pussy is the Fulvia?
Here is 1956 Fandango in Monaco with Ferrari badging.

The street version of the Rallye didn’t have the bang to match its sexy looks, but it had huge fluff-catcher appeal. I had to keep the doors locked to prevent random women climbing in while I was stopped at traffic lights.
