When it snows in Johannesburg…
People wandering around in the streets yesterday, bemused, asking “What is this strange white stuff falling from the sky?”
One could say that this is evidence of Global Cooling Climate Warming Change©, but I remember it snowing in Johannesburg (and much harder than in the above) back in 1963, before SUVs.
Yes, I’m that old. And we just called it “weather”.
The next time you hear the local or national news weather guessers say something along the lines of ” …. record breaking temperatures yesterday. We broke the record high that has stood for 75 years ( or however long ago. Usually accompanied by a list of Temperatures and years ).
I’m always thinking ……. so you’re confirming for us that X number of years ago it was also this hot / cold ??? How is that supposed to make us believe in Global Warming???
…….. of course, it may also mean that the weather guy ( who is supposedly a degreed meteorologist and should have a basic knowledge of actual Science ) understands this perfectly well but doesn’t want to lose his job and this is his way of making the Ken and Barbie Newsreaders look foolish when they chime in with some comment.
“weather guessers”… consider that stolen.
