That NY Post article about the OF woman…. Headline and URL both are kinda desperate-sounding with the “yes, she REALLY DOES make lots of money!!!! She proved it. See? SEE!?!?!?!?!?”
Seems that all NY Post articles about OF creators follow this pattern. Could the fact that it’s an ad to recruit new “creators” to OF with the lure of easy money (that very VERY few will ever actually see) be any more transparent? It’s gotten to the point Tim Pool even mentioned it in a recent video. . . .
I’m reminded of the historical clothing YT’er who opened an OF account for 2 weeks to provide “saucy Victorian ankle pics.” She charged no money, but still received about $1500 (IIRC) in tips, and shared the email she got from OF saying that this put her in the top 7% (or maybe it was 11? Either way, it was pretty high up there for not even an amount I would consider “full time income”) of all “earners.”
If you care to see, it’s a fairly long vid at 27:31, but I thought it was good all the way through — https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fSxQHQ_1gX4
