The DNC actually has a decent (compared to the rest) candidate: Andy Beshear, governor of Kentucky. He is a moderate Democrat who was elected, then re-elected governor, in a red state.
He is a far more sensible choice than most of the rest. Which means I would be shocked if the DNC selected him.

If there’s anyone more unwatchable than Old Joe, it’s Kamala. Even with the sound off, she’s shockingly bad. Her affect is obviously 1000% fake.
Don’t disparage her intelligence. It takes a lot of cognitive capacity to continuously and consciously imitate the facial expressions of others, the ones that seemed to get good results. I’ve seen ventriloquist dummies that were more realistic.
I just hope she’s kept herself in shape. Now that she’s top of the ticket, I would like to hope she’s completely recovered all the blunt force trauma Willie Brown inflicted to her tonsils.
That could be an asset if it deepened her voice.
After years of trying to puzzle out the difference between Progressives and So ialists/Communists, I think I have it.
Socialists take direct government control of everything they can get their paws on. This creates a vast bureaucracy that is incapable of deciding anything, much less deciding anything quickly. Not too surprisingly, this doesn’t work.
Progressives leave more that is nominally ‘independent’, but bury everything under a think layer of regulation and bureaucracy. This doesn’t fail as quickly as Socialism, but it doesn’t work, either.
Neither system can allow failure. Failure implies that The State made a mistake. So both systems are prone to the naming of scapegoats.
