Finally, Justice

Here’s an update to a Righteous Shooting aftermath:

Brian Camp, who was charged with manslaughter after shooting a man who broke into his girlfriend’s home, has been acquitted. The not guilty verdict was read in Hampshire Superior Court in Northampton. Prosecutors said Camp shot 27-year-old Jonathan Letendre when he showed up unannounced at Camp’s girlfriend’s home in Chesterfield in December of 2022.

The woman with whom Letendre had previously had a relationship was upstairs sleeping with Camp and her two young children. The news release from the DA’s office says that the woman and Camp woke up when they heard Letendre coming up the stairs to the second floor.

During a fight between Camp and Letendre, the woman called the police for help when gunfire was heard while talking with dispatchers. Approximately eight and a half minutes later, another shot was fired. At around 1 a.m. officers found Letendre, who was shot in the torso and the back of the head, on the kitchen floor.

Camp would’ve faced 20 years in state prison if he was convicted.

So someone finally saw sense and ended this bullshit.  The fact that it took two full years to get there is doubtless because all this happened in Massachusetts, where self-defense = murder.  Still:

  1. So there was a fight with gunfire, then 8 minutes later a final shot?

I’m astonished he got away with that. Happy, but surprised.

If someone breaks into your house they lose all right to life, IMHO. You should be able to hogtie them and burn them death with a blow torch, cut their balls off and let them bleed out, feed them into the woodchipper or do whatever the hell you want with them. They made their choice, and should suffer the consequences.

That isn’t the law though, so I’d recommend turning off all recording devices after the fight is over and before executing the prisoner.

  2. Massachusetts sucks. Hard to live in this shit hole

The current governor is a democrat. Hard to be a democrat in Massachusetts especially when the democrat is a lesbian bull dyke bitch too

Some of the accomplishments lately in Massachusetts from the commie politicians

    – “free” community college. Aka taxpayers paying for free loaders.

    – more gun laws. Cuz criminals are Great at following laws.

    – illegal immigrants get free housing and free food and free school for their crotch fruits. Too many free things to count for illegals. Isn’t this aiding criminals? I thought that was illegal

Saddest part is that the majority of idiots in this state keep voting to tighten the chains that enslave them each election.

I’m glad this guy who defended his house is free now. One problem is he spent money on an attorney and 2 years as being charged. Probably cost him a small fortune. And I think in Massachusetts he’ll have a hard time getting a gun license or his gun back.

    1. you’re absolutely right. He gets to stay out of jail but he’s probably in the hole for at least a half million dollars or more to his attorneys and expert witnesses who testified on his behalf.

      1. I think that if you are prosecuted wrongly like in this case three things should happen

1 – family of deceased criminal shit bag can not sue for wrongful death or some other bullshit.

2 – state must reimburse the defendant for their expenses at trial – money first comes from pension fund of prosecutors and judges before taxpayers funds are tapped.

3 – prosecutor or DA who decided to bring this forward should be fined personally 10,000 dollars per charge. So if there is 10 charges – That’s 100,000 dollars. Can’t pay? No problem, for each 10,000 you can’t pay you can spend 30 days in jail per 10,000 dollar fine.

The above would stop most (not all) of the bullshit with regard to prosecuting innocent people protecting themselves from criminal shit bags.

  3. That verdict was a pleasant surprise. It turned largely on a 911 dispatcher telling him after the initial contact to go back in the house to check on the goblin’s status, because those responding needed to know. Goblin started getting up when he re-entered the house, and got shot again. Not a smart call on dispatch’s part. Not a smart call for Camp to listen to dispatch either, but I can see him not being in the right frame of mind to tell dispatch to eff off with that direction.

One possible problem with him ever getting his license or guns back is that his testimony would support being charged with violating the Democratic People’s Republic of Massachusetts firearms storage law. It’s a nanny state bullshit law, but I wouldn’t be surprised if the Northampton CoP denies him his license based on that.

  4. Acquittal is great, but alas, “what price for salvation?” How much financial ruin did the acquitted endure to secure his ruling? We’ll likely never know, but I would not be surprised $200k or $300k was spent on the defense.
