If you’re trying to fix colleges, you could at least start by using proper grammar in your headlines:
“Student sues South Carolina college after suspended for gun-related social media post”
…OR:
“Student sues South Carolina college after suspension for gun-related social media post”
…OR:
“Student sues South Carolina college after being suspended for gun-related social media post”
…OR:
“Student sues South Carolina college after having been suspended for gun-related social media post”
All those options, and you picked the wrong one.
I’m guilty of poor grammar at times and I have a Master’s degree. At any rate…
From the article:
“ Additionally, in 2021, the University of Virginia canceled the traditional 21-gun salute portion of its Veterans Day ceremony, citing “gun violence,” The College Fix reported.”
What in the actual fuck is “gun violence”? For the past decade or more the liberals and RINO’s keep referencing this term.
If “gun violence” is when some asshole uses an inanimate object aka a tool known as a gun to harm others, why is the tool referenced as being violent?
If a human attacks someone with a hammer, is that hammer violence?
If a human drinks and drives and causes a wreck, is that vehicle violence?
Anti gun people are truly fucking morons.
More from the article:
“ However, they later “decided to suspend her after finding an unrelated Instagram post from before she was enrolled where she was firing a handgun,” according to the report.”
So someone posts a video of themselves or anyone for that matter using a legal and constitutionally protected tool, and said person is deemed a problem.
“ In today’s climate, your failure to disclose the existence of the video, in conjunction with group text message on Snapchat where you used the term ‘blasted,’ causes concern about your ability to remain in the current Cosmetology cohort,” the college stated in a letter informing her of her suspension, according to the lawsuit.”
And you have to “disclose” any videos that might scare some fucking morons in your daily life?
Do any of these educated idiots understand how the constitution works”
As the saying goes, my rights don’t end where your fears begin.
The most interesting part to me is that the person was suspended and if the person was a violent person (which they are not and were not), a suspension is going to keep kids safe? Isn’t this kind of like one of those useless restraining orders? The real assholes are not going to care about a suspension.
If someone who is crazy ever does decide to do some violence, it is interesting to me that the powers that be would call other people with guns, aka the police, to come and solve the problem. Further proving how fucking stupid liberals and RINO’s and anti gun morons are.
The Anti gun idiots are ok with the government having a monopoly on “gun violence”. Just not your average John Q. Public.
A question that comes to mind, if someone posts a video of antifa, will they be suspended for posting a video that is inciting a riot?
WTF. Time to let the majority of colleges go out of business. Stop the federal funding to these liberal indoctrination centers. Across the country enrollment at many colleges is down and many have had to made cuts or close. Many young people have figured out what a scam it is to spend large sums of money or in many cases go deep into debt to be brainwashed by the communists who run and teach at these propaganda centers.
Correct English is racist, too dead white guy.
My feeling is that “Student sues South Carolina college after suspended for gun-related social media post” is what fit over the column.
Wouldn’t they have been able to fit one more letter into the headline, especially an “i” which in proportional spacing takes up less space than other letters?
“Suspension” has only one more letter than “suspended”, and has the advantage of being grammatically understandable.
I think the newspaper wasn’t even trying.

I sure miss the “Edit” function.
