Beauty of the visual kind is always subjective and as such, therefore, there will always be differing opinions on the various kinds of beauty. I, for one, find the voluptuous Kelly Brook and Salma Hayek to be exquisite:
…whereas others may refute that, and prefer the more-slender silhouettes of Charlotte Hawkins and Nicole Kidman:
It’s not that I find the latter pair unattractive — not in the slightest — it’s just my preference is for the body shapes of Mlles Brook and Hayek.
In similar fashion, therefore, do I regard Insty’s comment about the Lamborghini Miura interesting:
“I think the Lamborghini Miura was the most beautiful car of its time, but a spoiler doesn’t make it prettier.”
(He’s talking about Liberty Walk’s version of the Miura, by the way, which I think is quite beautiful for a modern car despite the spoiler.)
But the Miura was made between 1966 and 1973, and in terms of beauty, it had some stiff competition in the beauty department during those seven years. Here’s the “traditional” Miura:
…which I agree is an absolute stunner. The 4-liter V-12 engine didn’t hurt, either.
Then again, if we’re looking at the 1966-1973 years, there’s my personal favorite, the Dino 246 GT:
…and also from that period, the Bizzarrini Strada / Spyder:
…not to mention the incomparable Jaguar E-type:
Okay, as far as I’m concerned that whole decade (1963 – 1972) was the golden age of automotive body design, and there is scarcely a car made back then that I wouldn’t take in a heartbeat.
All more beautiful than anything made so far in the 21st century — in my opinion.
But you all knew that already.
Hear, hear! Mrs Hayek in particular, and many of the cars on display, although I’ve always preferred the C2 to the C3 ‘vette, even when I was a wee tyke.
I remember my father taking my brother and I to a car show at the San Mateo County fairgrounds sometime in the early 1970’s, and him purchasing us both t-shirts that had transfers applied to them, with my younger brother getting a cartoon “Dracula sucks!” while I got the Ed Roth-ish C3 ‘Vette popping a smoky wheelie with skinny front wheels and fat rear meats, captioned “Corvette is King!”
I HATED that shirt because I though that ‘vette was UGLY!
Larry Shinoda was the man who penned the C2, infinitely better to my eyes even to this day.
I am NOT a model and shouldn’t be judging anyone however. Charlotte and Nicole are attractive however skinny blondes are ok not my favorite.
One of the few tall thinner blondes I always thought was cute is Uma Thurman.
For the most part as the old saying goes “the only smart blonde is a golden retriever”.
Kelly Brook and Salma Hayek By far are absolute smoke shows. Brunettes are better. And the curves are great. (If you want to see Selma go and watch From Dusk Till Dawn).
Some other nice brunettes
(In my opinion, YMMV)
Rachael Ray
Jennifer Tilly
Jacqueline Obradors
Sofía Vergara
Selena Gomez (The only under 40 I’d even consider)
Gloria Estefan
Almost forgot the two best looking politicians in the USA
Anna Paulina Luna (By far the most attractive politician)
Marsha Blackburn (Yes I know blonde there are always a few exceptions)
Sports cars don’t do a think for me. If I had to pick a sports car I’d want something like KITT from Knight Rider an 80’s Firebird Trams Am.
The 2 vehicles I would really really really want:
1: 2010 to 2014 Toyota FJ Cruiser
2: 2014 to 2021 Toyota Tundra with the 5.7 liter V8
Firebird Trans Am from the 80’s

CM,
I like your choice of Toyotas. I’d choose the same. I don’t think I’ve been in a Tundra. I’ve had Tacomas for years and enjoyed them.
I have a RAV4 now. 2018. XLE – 2nd one. This one required some repairs under warranty but it’s never left me stranded. (Fuel pump cover cracked. Covered under warranty. Dealer sucked but I argued and made them do it after complaining to Toyota corporate. Car ran but smelled like fuel. Had a front axle and hub replaced. And some brakes and tires and fluids.
I had a 2018 adventure model. Bought it used 14,000 miles certified used in 2021. Got rear ended by some 19 year old kid very hard and it was totaled. I walked away with just some sore ribs not even broken.
Got this one used one owner in 2022. 90,000 miles just getting broken in. – this one has been lightly read ended 3 times. Got a new bumper – argued with insurance those cock suckers wanted to put a generic part on. I threatened to sue and they coughed up a genuine bumper. Insurance sucks and drivers suck more.
Tacoma is the practical truck. Reliable. Mostly affordable (EVERYTHING since the SCAMdemic is up in cost), and they last a long time and have great trade in values.
All trucks are ugly. That’s not a knock on them, because they are functional objects.
However, this post is about beauty, so all discussions of trucks in this thread are henceforth verboten.
How about the 1994 Acura NSX?
(HAS to be a 90’s NO WAY to the new modern ones with electric motors on some of the wheels).

I’ll take Charlotte Hawkins in my 74 drop top Stingray.
Kim, I think you nailed the golden age of cars. I’d push the beginning a little earlier to tag some ’50s cars with the fins.
No fins. Loud, trashy and vulgar.

I’m assuming you’re limiting that to European designs:

Oh gawd yes. American sports cars were mostly disgusting back then, and they haven’t improved much since.
Pre-marriage, I only had one true celebrity “crush”: Bonnie Raitt. Even when she lost weight and got clean in the late 80s, she was just the right body type. Before I met my late wife, she was THE woman. I guess that solidified my “type” of liberal, thicker women… She’s aged well, except for that “old lady pucker” on her lips that comes from smoking too many for too long.
After my wife died and COVID hit, I got back into listening to music again, and picked up listening to Emeli Sandé. She has an incredible Scottish accent AND has gotten just the right amount of thickness as she’s aged. But she’s married to a lady now…. “Next To Me” is still an anthem for me; I want to find another woman who I can be that way with.
I always liked Nelly Furtado’s music, but she was a bit too thin/pixy for me (my grandfather’s type, not mine). Then she came out of semi-retirement, with a mom bod and an “owning it” attitude. When I saw the white outfit on the 2024 Junos and the purple jumpsuit she wears on YouTube in Showstopper, I did a Pepé LePew for the first time in my life. She has become incredibly thicc in a very good way. And her music is still good.
The ladies are all beauties of the moment, the cars have a beauty that is for the ages.
The one I like, that I bought off a used car lot when it was 9 years old, kept and drove for 42 years, was a ’67 Ferrari 330 GTC, Silver Metallic, w/Black Leather and red carpeting. It had Metric instrumentation, and had been imported around 1972 when an A/C system was installed.
https://www.supercars.net/blog/ferrari-330-gtc/ – my car was a lower #, but you’ll get the idea.
And you sold it because…?
