No, that’s not a silly translation of the German greeting, but a “new” Morgan model:
Yeah, it’ll cost you over a $125k, but it is hand-built, after all.
And yet I don’t know… all those smoothed contours make it look like an airbrushed A.I. creation, somehow.
Here’s an older model, just for comparison:
Am I the only one who thinks this?
IMHO it was always a beautiful (well-designed) car with a great ride – if you could fit your 6’2″ frame into the cockpit.
Older model for sure. Sometimes you can improve on a classic. That wasn’t one of them.
I’m sure you’ve seen Harry’s review on this car by now https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RhpjdjKvVbs&t=229s The styling of Morgans have never done it for me. Maybe because it still looks too much like the dreadful TR-3. It still has side curtains !!! just like my 1962 Bug-eye sprite. At least they got rid of the steamed ash Frame rails and it now has an aluminum frame.
I guess you can’t expect too much from a car maker that makes fewer than 800 cars per year. The new Plus 8 is not an improvement but I never liked the old ones either.
The older one looks better to me. The front bumper on the new model looks awful. The new car just looks bland. If that’s what you like, enjoy it.
The new model looks very 1930s German. I’ll undoubtedly see it at Goodwood later this year.
But it’s an automatic!
Yuck. It must be their EV model, or else they got a woke-ass designer from Jaguar.
The interior design is the most important, after all that’s what you see when driving, and I really don’t want to know what the inside of the new Morgan looks like. Probably all digital and touch screens.
Follow the link…
The backside of the new one looks like they ran out of design budget around the seats.
Either new/old I couldn’t fit into it.
Someone needs to take the designers of the new model out behind the barn and thump them…
If it aint broke don’t fix it
The power upgrade is the only good choice made
The front end on the new model looks like it is from a Lego kit.
It is in the price range of a 911 and top end Corvette. I would go with a 911 if I had that kind of money to spend on a car.
Yeah, no. I think I would drop the coin on one of the new vettes. Some of them, vettes that is, are looking pretty good to my eyes.
