Is it really green to obtain minerals and metals using a diesel excavator then transport those materials using a truck to a factory that processes them and makes batteries and then onto another factory to put the many batteries into an electric vehicle (EV) which is shipped via a gas powered truck to a local dealer or to a consumer.

    Then; the batteries have to be replaced every so often as you drive the vehicle and wear the batteries out as batteries are a consumable.

    Electricity doesn’t come out of thin air either.

    I’ll stick with the gas powered vehicles please. Maybe just maybe a non plugin hybrid would be ok too.

    I will never ever own an all electric vehicle.

      There are some things about environmentalism that is rational. Pick up after yourself. Dispose of stuff, tin cans and toxic waste appropriately. The doom and gloom predictions are frequently wrong. The Carbon Credit scheme is perhaps the most honest thing to come out of the modern environmental movement. That’s a raw naked money grab and that is the true goal of today’s environmentalists. They want money and power so they can control people.

    1. One can easily make an Electric Vehicle emanate smoke, however it likely won’t run or be in good condition after the smoke show is complete. Just take a look at the protestors who recently burned up some Tesla’s cuz orange man and Elon are bad people according to the libtards.
