it’s clear that criminals do not fear the police, the prosecutors, judges, corrections officers or other prisoners. If we want criminals to stop committing crimes, then they must learn to fear the armed citizen. Criminals must learn that criminal activity is very dangerous and not rewarding. Most of us learn this when we’re children and take a toy from a sibling or classmate. Others need to learn the lesson in a more blunt and painful manner.
