Grew up with both Metric and English system of weights and measures, coming to America was an easy adaptation, except…. for the bloody date sequence as was pointed out.
Never, never could understand the logic of it. Logic says go from smallest unit to largest unit, hence Day/Month/Year. Took me years to break the habit on checks and documents to “blend in” to American system. To this day wish they would wake up but not holding my breath.
