  1. the writing is on the wall for other countries. Build more power plants and improve its distribution network. Energy independence is the way to prosperity. Solar and wind might be nice but they are not consistent and reliable for energy production.

  2. Sadly, or should I say insanely, this is viewed as a road map instead of a cautionary tale.

  3. Had some South African friends who’s family moved to the U.S. in the early 80s. In college, the bleeding hearts would assume they left to escape ‘racism’. The kids would just clam up in those conversations. It was years later that I realized that they probably left because their parents saw what happened to Rhodesia and knew it was inevitable there too.
