While I do have 4 1911’s and 4 .357 revolvers, these days I turn to my 9mm’s and .22’s for defense and range pleasure. I hate getting old and decrepit..
I have a 1911 Govt model in 9mm as my range gun. My truck gun is a S&W 65 in 357. I don’t have a 45 ACP, I have a 45 GAP. The GAP ballistics are similar to 45 ACP +p. The GAP has turned into a boutique round. You have to reload if you want GAP ammo. The 6.8 SPC is going down the same road.
them ain’t gunz, them iz staplez

Shame about the 6.8 SPC II, it was superior in every way to the other offerings. Then 300 BLK stole all the oxygen.
Oil well, I’ve got my DD 6.8 upper, mags, reloading dies and brass to last my rapidly diminishing years.
As much as I love JMB’s paired meisterverks, the .45 ACP and the M-1911, there’s a 45 pistol that has stolen my heart. The CZ 97 BD:
