Canuck Overview

Da Tech Guy has a funny albeit telling post about the recent elections in the Snowy North:

Basically Trudeau’s liberals stayed where they were with the most seats but not the majority that he was hoping for. Meanwhile conservatives who thought a bit ago that they might end up winning stayed right where they were.

The funny part comes at the very end, and features Mitt Romney.

I normally give Canadian election results only a cursory look, but I have to admit to being surprised that His GirlyBoyness got reelected.  Have all Canuckis gone horribly Left?  I asked myself.

Now I know how it happened.

Slip Of The Mask

This little excerpt of a Biden “speech” has been making the rounds.

As we all know, it’s eerily similar to a comment made by one J. Stalin:

“I consider it completely unimportant who in the party will vote, or how;  but what is extraordinarily important is this — who will count the votes, and how.”  — (as noted by his longtime secretary Boris Bazhanov in his book “The Memoirs of Stalin’s Former Secretary” )

Note, by the way, that Stalin was talking about an intra-party vote rather than a popular one — but contrary to what Leftist history professors [some redundancy]  may say, that makes absolutely no difference because the principle is precisely the same.

There are actually two takes on President Braindead’s utterance:

  1. He went off script and unwittingly uttered exactly what he and his cronies think, or
  2. He was actually reading off the script that one of his staffers wrote for him, and the staffer wasn’t aware of the effect of those words.

Neither option makes Ol’ Fuckwit look good, nor his party;  but it’s not like we need any confirmation of their bastardy or his incoherence, do we?

A Good Start

Here’s some good news, for a change:

Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose announced Wednesday that 97,795 voters were removed from the rolls after Ohio’s 88 county boards of elections identified the abandoned registrations as part of the maintenance process required by Ohio and federal law.
“Getting rid of bad voter data from the voter rolls helps prevent fraud, makes it easier for county boards of elections to do their jobs, and strengthens the confidence Ohioans place in our elections,” LaRose said. He then said: “And by the way, if anyone attempts to use one of these defunct registrations to vote in the next election, we’re going to execute them right there on the spot.”

Okay, I added that last sentence.  But you know…

Machiavelli And All That

Saith Insty, who is wise and wonderful:

“So why has the establishment turned on [NYGov Andrew] Cuomo?  It’s not his misbehavior — they always knew about that and didn’t care.  My theory:  Kamala will be president before 2024, and she’s quite unlikable and didn’t garner a single Democratic delegate in the primary.  They’re trying to bump off a potential primary challenger, and with Gavin Newsom already self-neutralized, Cuomo is the biggest remaining threat.”

Machiavellian?  Not especially.

Yeah… gawd forbid the Socialists should get behind a mass murderer of the elderly as their Presidential candidate.
